TroGroup, based in Wels, has become the target of a cyber attack. Emergency operations were activated immediately after the incident became known and it was possible to ensure continued service and to avoid any disadvantages for our customers and suppliers in the best possible way.
Social responsibility has always been practised at the TroGroup. The family-run business, based in Wels, is a global leader with its companies Trodat (for stamps) and Trotec (for lasers). As a partner of UNICEF Austria, it is proud to provide support where it is most urgently needed.
In doing so, the TroGroup is setting the organisational course for further growth. In addition to the two successful companies Trodat (stamps) and Trotec (lasers), a separate business unit for laser sources is being established with the Laser Sources Group.
Over the past 25 years, Trotec, a member of TroGroup, has become world market leader in laser machines for cutting, marking and engraving. At the end of September, the company invited employees and their families to an open day in Marchtrenk. The presentation of the new employer image also marked the occasion.
After a construction period of only 10.5 months, the new Walter Just Technical Centre opens at Trodat’s headquarters in Wels today. The globally active group of companies is also celebrating the 110th anniversary of its founding in 1912 with a party for the employees and their families.
As of 20 July 2022, Trodat, the Austrian stamp manufacturer owned by Wels-based TroGroup, takes over Consolidated Marking, a division of Navitor, Inc., under the umbrella of the Taylor Group. Consolidated Marking is the second largest distributor of stamp components in the USA and Canada after Trodat. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
At the beginning of July 2022, TroGroup took over the German specialist firm for industrial laser sources, InnoLas Photonics, which is based in Krailling. The acquisition will enable TroGroup to establish the Laser Sources Group as a distinct business field alongside Trodat (stamps) and Trotec (lasers). All 24 InnoLas Photonics employees are being retained. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
- Turnover of € 289 million for the first time

At TroGroup in Wels, social commitment is actively practised by both the management and employees. To help people who have fled the war in Ukraine, CEO Norbert Schrüfer provided Caritas Upper Austria with a vacant company house and garden in Negrellistraße, Wels, free of charge.
